About Us
The Trauma Research Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in May of 2018, organized to promote clinical, scientific and educational projects. The purpose of this corporation is to support and conduct non-partisan research, education, & informational activities dedicated to innovative clinically informed projects to develop and implement optimal methods, treatments, and modalities to help children and adults heal from traumatic experiences.
Their mission is to support and grow a community of clinicians, researchers, educators, and people whose lives are affected by trauma, who collaborate to research, develop, disseminate, and implement optimal trauma treatments for children and adults.
TRF + AMHC Partnership
Trauma Research Foundation and AMHC have created a partnership that is helping to share resources and increase access to TRF programming to a variety of organizations and groups of people across the United States.
TRF Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies
AMHC members are invited to participate in the Trauma Research Foundation’s Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies program starting August 2023. TRF is pleased to offer 50% off tuition for Lotus Therapy Fund clinicians and 25% off tuition for other members of the AMHC community. You can review the current program to learn more about this comprehensive training from leading experts.
- This program is an intensive postgraduate level virtual certificate program consisting of 32-weeks of immersion into the fundamental issues necessary to become an expert clinician treating adults and children who suffer from traumatic stress.
- This program offers a monthly opportunity for a virtual face-to-face interaction with one of the senior supervisors of this program to discuss lessons learned and clinical challenges, as well as for the formation of peer support groups.
After completing the program, therapists will be able to list themselves on the TRF Professional Directory. This program offers 70 CE credits, and is limited to 50 clinicians. To apply, please complete the form below.
34th Annual Boston International Trauma Conference
Trauma Research Foundation would also like to extend an invitation to AMHC community members to attend the 34th Annual Boston International Trauma Conference on May 17-20. For the 34th year, Bessel van der Kolk hosts some of the world’s most innovative leaders from the field of trauma, attachment, neuroscience, mindfulness, body oriented work and psychedelic studies.
