Navigating our identities, relationships, and life’s stressors can be difficult and overwhelming. Understanding how our families, values, cultures, immigration stories, and systems of oppression impact us can feel overwhelming and daunting. With a warm, open, and non-judgmental style, I provide individual therapy for those hoping to understand themselves better and make empowered decisions. For those looking to expand their sexual lives, relationships, and pleasure, I also offer queer-affirming and culturally-humble sex therapy and relationship therapy.

Therapy with me looks like collaboration, exploration, and action. With a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, together we can expand your inner resources, self-knowledge, and patterns to meet the goals you set for yourself. I work from a relational cultural lens, looking at how relationships, culture, and systems have impacted mental health. By identifying unhelpful patterns, trying on more adaptive patterns, and increasing empowerment, we can co-create a plan that is most adaptive to your strengths and goals.

I have centered issues of sex, gender, and race throughout my graduate work, clinical training, and professional career, especially the issues facing Asian Americans. From holding spaces for pan-Asian community building, exploring similarities in experiences of biracial, bisexual non-binary folx, facilitating solidarity actions with other communities of color, exploring the impact of immigration and intergenerational trauma, and providing specialized care and resources for queer Asian Americans, I am honored to serve my community as an Asian American psychologist, instructor, and academic writer. I am currently the co-chair of the Asian American Psychological Association’s LGBTQ+ division and write about how to support queer Asian folx in clinical books and textbooks.

As a queer mixed Filipina femme, I know first-hand the power of affirming, culturally-humble care and I strive to provide this for others. Grounded in the values of care, connection, and liberation, I hope to help clients cultivate their possibilities for authenticity, connection, and thriving!
