About Me:

Dr. Ellery Woo (She|Her|Kui) is a licensed psychologist who is second – generation Hoi’San/Chinese American and a native Houstonian. She enjoys spending time with my family and friends, eating, getting a good laugh, and going to wrestling shows. She also likes dancing, cooking, and painting.

My Mission:

Dr. Woo is passionate about empowering clients to make choices that feel right for them based on their intersecting identities, strengths, life experiences, and goals. Bearing witness to someone’s journey and bravery is a gift and privilege.

My Technique:

Dr. Woo utilizes an integrative relational/dynamic approach drawing on interpersonal, multicultural, systems, and trauma-informed – based concepts as well as cognitive-behavioral, acceptance commitment therapy, and emotion-focused based interventions. Dr. Woo is adaptive and collaborative in the therapy room, which means it is important to her to meet the client where they are at and to work with them based on their needs. Dr. Woo believes the client’s motivation and therapeutic relationship co-create the space for exploration, connection, healing, and change.

Dr. Woo is licensed in Texas and PSYPACT states.
