Hi there! My name is Catherine Kaila, but you can just call me Kaila. I’m a Filipino-American Associate Marriage & Family Therapist born and raised in California, deeply committed to helping Asian American children of immigrants navigate and heal intergenerational trauma, explore cultural identity, build stronger relationships and boundaries, strengthen self-esteem, and find healthy ways to cope with their emotions. As a daughter of immigrants myself, I understand the complexities of balancing multiple cultural identities, and this personal experience fuels my dedication to providing culturally sensitive therapy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can openly share their struggles and triumphs, embrace their heritage, and confidently forge their own paths with resilience and emotional well-being. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, cooking, and discovering new shows and movies.
