Emily Chong, Asian American Couples Therapist

Sex/Gender: Female
Pronouns: She / Her
Ethnicity: Chinese
Bio

I specialize in marriage counseling for cross-cultural and interracial couples. I also work with individuals who identify as Asian American, first-generation immigrants, Third Culture Kids, or people from multicultural backgrounds.

As a multicultural first generation immigrant and Third Culture Kid, my therapy practice was born out of the lessons from my own experience of living across many worlds. As a therapist, I am driven by a passion to help people understand and situate themselves in this increasingly complex world, to make meaning of their experiences, and to embrace their uniqueness.

I practice with a trauma-informed, integrative approach, drawing from relational, psychodynamic, transpersonal, and somatic psychotherapy. I help clients uncover the root of their struggles, navigate change, and cultivate the deep connections they desire with themselves and in their relationships.
